Age is no limit to the potential of student groups. Middle school, high school, and college students take on the challenge of planning a Sleep Out in their own communities to experience some of the struggles faced by homeless people their age – while raising modest funds to support the basic needs of young people.
Covenant House doesn’t dictate dates or times for Sleep Out: Student Edition,
rather we follow the lead of the student groups. Students across the country are choosing to Sleep Out with their classmates on school property, with a faith community or civic club at a community center, as members of a sports team on a field, or with a group of like-minded friends in a private backyard.
Covenant House recommends that all student groups be actively chaperoned by adults.
